We made it to Missoula! We’re all pretty stoked about our first rest day tomorrow!
We rode the remainder of Lolo Pass today (the big mountain we were talking about) and it wasn’t as bad as we thought until we reached the last 12 miles. Everyone was inching their way up except for Ezra, he’s like the energizer bunny and never tires. Once we reached the top we were all relieved to be biking down hill for the majority of the day. We made it to Missoula in the early afternoon at Bonner park where we met Cory Stalling, a boy with Duchenne, and recieved a police escort! The news and press interviewed us too! We were escorted from the park to Adventure Cycling Association and had a cookout. Today just so happend to be Cory’s birthday so we also had chocolate cake and ice cream in celebration! The mayor of Missoula also presented a declaration that June 25th is now DMD day in Missoula! Super cool, right? Cory and his family are awesome and we had a great time hanging out with them.
Aside from all the excitement today, we are all extremely happy to have tomorrow off. Our legs and butts are pretty sore from the last ten days..
