The team left St. James, MD today and rode a hilly 45 miles to Gettysburg, PA. The morning started off great with a delicious breakfast cooked by the church members. The riding was up and down all day. At one point, we had to climb a 5 mile mountain, but the downhill was really nice.

The weather was very warm and by the time we arrived in Gettysburg everyone was hot and sticky. We decided to grab a bite to eat at Friendlys since we worked up an appetite. After eating, Bruce really wanted to check out the college football field since he heard it was used in a scene in “Remember the Titans”.    Kaitlyn, Julianna, Delaney, and Bruce headed about a mile up the road to check it out. Unfortunately, a lady clarified that they really did not use the stadium area in the movie. We decided to continue anyway and took a few pics just in case. 😉

Minutes after heading to our hotel Kaitlyn received a flat. We were anxious to finally arrive so we made her ride the rest of the couple miles with a flat tire. It was pretty funny, actually.  We are having Chinese for dinner! The rest of the day is being spent relaxing. Though we are going to miss each other and all the amazing families and places we’ve visited, we are all really excited to reach Jersey on Friday!
