Today we rode 82 miles from Eau Claire, Wisconsin to The Wisconsin Dells. Our start in the morning was delayed two hours with heavy rain and thunderstorms but by the twenty mile mark the skies had cleared and roads were drying out.
We rode mostly on country roads in the middle of no where and were chased by aggressive horseflies and dogs. My group, Yolanda (Meranda), AfroThunder (John), Sarah, Paulie D (Paul), Van Hooter (Jack), Fat Jesus (Alec), J-Smooth (Justin) and Lim (Liam) got chased by three dogs and saw two deer. I don’t think I forgot anyone, but sorry if I did.
I got the first flat tire during the afternoon and it took a long time to fix because the tires are new and hard to remove from the rim. By the time we got in everyone was completely exhausted and even though we had a day off the next day we were all in bed relatively early. The boys played a few good pranks on the kids who passed out first last night, sorry Colby, and the next morning we woke up and ate blueberry pancakes. Hope everyone at home is well, we love you but we don’t miss you…We’ll see you in New Jersey!!!
